Design Manager – Major Projects, Norrbotniabanan

About the Role

We are looking for two experienced Design Managers to strengthen the client's project organization within the framework of Norrbotniabanan. In this role, you will work on the development of railway plans and construction documentation for the Double Track Boden–Luleå project. The assignment involves planning, leading, and following up the design process with a focus on time, cost, quality, and content.

As a Design Manager, you will work closely with the project manager and coordinate the design both internally and externally with the client, municipalities, and other stakeholders. You play a key role in ensuring that the project is executed according to set goals and regulations.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and follow up on design contracts regarding time, cost, and content.
• Be responsible for notification management towards suppliers.
• Coordinate the design work with other projects and stakeholders.
• Ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
• Administer and review the consultant's documents to ensure quality in deliveries.
• Participate in risk management, procurements, and financial follow-up of invoices.
• Represent the client in meetings with suppliers and external stakeholders.
• Ensure that workplace safety requirements are met in the project's various phases.
• Contribute to knowledge transfer within the project organization.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

✔ A degree from a technical university or equivalent relevant education.

✔ At least 4 years of experience as a project manager, design manager, or project leader in road or railway projects.

✔ Training in General Terms (ABK09, AB04, ABT06).

✔ Driver's license B.

✔ Work environment training for Bas-P according to the guidelines of the Swedish Work Environment Authority (no more than 5 years old).
